There is no God.

That is an interesting way to look at it, but a replica is probably not what they meant when he said "Let us make him in our image."

Many people take the "us" to be part of the evidence of the trinity.
The "our image" is usually taken to be people having self awareness. Many people would also say that God was also saying at that point that he was going to give us imortality. That our soul would exist forever from the moment of conception.

Most christians would say that God did not take on a body until Jesus was born.

So God would not have needed any parts on any sort until then, as much as you are interested in the "good parts".

Some christians would say that Jesus appeared a few times in the Old Testament before his Incarnation, For instance, when Abraham was visited, or when Jacob wrestled all night. If that is the case, Jesus was still a man. Most christians would say these vvisitors were angels.

We cannot understand God!! He is infinite; he is our creator. We have limits while He does not! We look the way we do because of limitations...we have ears because we were granted the the ability to hear CERTAIN frequencies from certain distances....same with eyes and eysight. God sees all and hears all; all strength and power belongs to him and everything that we have was granted by Him. In the quran it says that he is impossible to comprehend meaning His looks (which just might not be visible in the spectrum we see) and His ways....and that our inteligence compared to his is like a drop of water in all seven seas. Can you comprehend that...even though this ratio is dumbed down and put into easy to understand terms it is still hard to comprehend!! Also, God begets NONE and He was not begotten! That means that there is nothing or no one who is in anyway related to God such that God can be terms as the father or the son of that person or thing. The way the Quran answers this question goes like this: Nobody/nothing is or ever was like Him, like The ONE (The One is a name of God; He has 99 names...The Most High, Lord are others...and a lot of the His names are his attributes ..so look them up!).

Sometimes I wonder if the question meant to mock the belief of others or was it really a serious question wanting to be enlighten.

Assuming it's a serious question. My answer is as we are a composition of both spiritual and material energies and so is the One we have copied from. God has a material energy. How else would he have created all the matters around us if He is just spiritual in form. This is all what it meant of "man were created in the image of God".

Peace and be blessed.

Image does not always refer to appearance. We were created with the ability to think, reason, and act in a manner similar to God.

This t-shirt should answer all questions about man being created in God's image. Gotta love the stubble and the beer cans.

A confusing religion like christian, specially for trinity will always attract question like yours.. and all the answer never satisfy you. because they are all blind followers who never uses their logical thought. they just doctrinized by church. true religion will always open for any question of lifes and there should always be an answer. God with his powerfull capability doesnt need to be a man to message for human. Believe me Jesus is not God but he is a prophet who deliver message from God. no matter he wants to marry or single, he just follow his consience, and believe me he will put God's will as his first priority rather than his needs where marrying could be the one of his needs.

Another person who doesn't understand anything about God. God doesn't have a physical body. The Bible is clear that God is a Spirit and those who worship him must do so in Spirit and truth.
God breathed into man his spirit. Man can think, feel, reason, show emotion etc. This is what the bible is talking about. He doesn't have female and male parts.

not a physical image. and also gender neutral references are closest to the original idea here (as in the hebrew scriptures...which reference the "let us create them in our image") the "creator" speaks to the entire universe and creates the beings in the ability (image) to also be able to create

no, this question is not even worth answering but maybe... maybe... you might learn something.
we are made in the image of God.. true! but there was a need for us to procreate (have babies), therefore we have some things that God didn't have.. breasts are to feed a baby..and sexual parts were for populating the world.

God or even the angels have no need for such equipment.
