Absolutely. You can do a number of things to turn your wrapping paper into wallpaper. You can buy regular wallpaper paste and use that (definitely the messiest solution). Or you can use just normal stick glue (not the neatest solution) The best way to go is to get yourself a can or two of 3M spray adhesive and follow the directions on the can. I suggest you use the repositionable spray adhesive so that if you make any mistakes while putting it up, you can easily move it. I also suggest you put a coat of oil based primer on the wall you want to paper, so that it makes positioning the paper MUCH easier. Don't forget to put a clear coat of sealer over it all once you've finished putting it up. And don't worry... it'll work just fine. Enjoy!

RE:
Can wrapping paper be used as wallpaper?
I have a huge roll of some beautiful wrapping paper that I'd like to use as wallpaper in my bathroom. Is this possible? How would I go about doing it if it is possible?

Yes you can I've done it before. Use some spray on glue or wall paper past(but make it with less water) then put it up, I would make sure you have help unless you want the wrinkled look! Use a paint pad or roller to smooth it out and be care-full because wrapping paper is alot more delicate then wallpaper. If your doing this in the bathroom I would also suggest you use some kind of water resistant cover coat to protect it and make for easy cleaning.
good luck.

I wouldn't, but you know what is a cool idea that I did with pretty wrapping paper? Buy some cool frames and frame them! I am telling you it looks so nice and you would never even have thought
Used as wallpaper will only rip and tear unless you are really careful and can manage to paint clear sealant over it. Good Luck!

Be careful because it will not be as thick or tough as wallpaper when you put the wallpaper glue on! After you get it put on and it is dry, put a coat or two of polycoat finish on it to keep it easy to clean and to prevent moisture from seeping in. I would use a water based polycoat. It doesn't smell and it dries quickly. You can also use brown paper bags or shipping paper to make your walls look like leather or an antique wallpaper. Tear it into pieces, crumple it and apply it to the wall and smooth it out well. The creases make it look like leather. Put a coat of polycoat over it also. You can put a color in the finish to change the darkness/shade of browns or give the paper a look of dyed leather. You can do most anything if you put your mind to it! Have fun and I hope it turns out just like you want it!

It would be nice if you could but I don't think it
would be a good idea.Think if you were to bump it with something and it tears.Wall paper
is very thick and doesn't tear easily if an object
scratches it.Also in a bathroom it is best to use paint because of the amount of moisture that accumulates in the bathroom. It could cause the adhesive on the wall paper to come undone. This
happened to my sister.I know wallpaper is so much nicer but you could do a sponge paint in
your bathroom.Sponge painting is beautiful.

First, you would probably need several rolls. Second, wrapping paper doesn't hold up too well to getting wet, so it might wear out really fast if it gets splashed or even from the humidity in the shower. If your heart is set on it, maybe you could paper with it, then "paper" over the whole thing with clear plastic sheeting, stapling that to the wall at the edges???

You probably could use it, but I wouldn't, if you use wallpaper in a bathroom it should be vinyl, moisture from the bath would damage regular wrapping paper, plus if you glue it on it would definately not be easy to remove..I think you would regret it in the long run.

I'm sure you can use it as wallpaper but I don't think you should because it won't be too sturdy...as it's meant to be ripped off of stuff, not be on a wall for a few years.

no. wallpaper has a certain thickness, material and sturdiness to it made specifically for wall application and duration. walls take a beating and the wallpaper is made for that.
wrapping paper may not take that beating or cleaning that you must do with the walls from time to time. the paper may not take to the glue either and rip, soak into the glue, so on.
wallpaper is made to handle the cleaning, upkeep and application to the wall.
