whats NPO, STAT, Scope, CVA,ETOH mean? like in RN lanugage for nurse...its for homework.. HELP!

NPO means nothing by mouth (nothing per os)
CVA means cardiovascular accident (stroke)
ETOH is another word for alcohol (the kind you drink)
STAT means immediately
Scope is to look down into someones stomach with a scope or into there lungs or larynx. To scope is to look on the inside of the body with a camera.

cva=cerebrovascular accident (stroke)
etoh=ethanol (alcohol)
