Well, I'm a 17 year old guy, but I'll answer the best I can. People often get confused when it comes to relationships. There is a HUGE difference between infatuation and love, although some people fail to see that.
An infatuation by definition is a foolish, unreasoning, or extravagant passion or attraction. Love is by definition a deep, tender, ineffable feeling of affection and solicitude toward a person, such as that arising from kinship, recognition of attractive qualities, or a sense of underlying oneness.
It's my oppinion that you can be pretty sure you're in love when you feel like you don't need anything or anyone else when you are with him/her, when you always get along and share common interests, are fond of eachothers' personalities, when you think about eachother constantly, when your heart stops when you see him/her and as much as it sucks for ugly people, physical attraction is also important.

Love is not a feeling, nor is it something that you say. Love is an verb in imperfect. It is perpetual. It is sacrificial.
And it's also having the peace of knowing it's okay if that person isn't within arms reach every moment of the day, because you know they love you and you'll see them again.

love comes with action.
guys can talk alot of junk and not have any meaning behind it but if he's going out his way to JUST spend time then it could be love or love developing. if he says he plays football alot then has he invited you to his games?
