Guys are commonly referred to a "blokes", as in the UK.
"Sheila" isn't a very common term for females, it's more of a cliche - similarly Aussies don't refer to each other as "cobber" these days, no matter what Australian slang book you look at.
Kangaroos are wild natural creatures and not for sale, if you wanted you could catch one yourself but the 'big reds' could easily kill you!
However, if you wanted to eat a kangaroo you'll find plenty of dead ones by the side of outback and bush roads. The tail is supposed to be quite tasty.

umm the old colloquialisms were sheila n bloke but they r fading out now. The only way u can leagally buy a roo here , unless ur running a zoo, is as meat for ur dogs. We don't actually buy them as pets but some people do wind up with a roo for a pet if they live in the bush or if they r a wildlife rescuer. They r funny animals, pretty cunning but they've got really different personalities! Unfortunately alot of Aussie blokes still refer to their wives as 'the missus'.
