Buy leaving them alone. The more medication and home remedies you use on them the longer they will stay. The only thing i found that help mine hurts really badly but the first day you have one take a q-tip run water over it stick it into salt then put it on the canker sore and hold it for about 10 seconds. Then leave the canker sore alone it will be gone in a couple days. Good luck I hate canker sores but theres not much you can do about them.

This painful but works-put salt on them.wet your finger-stick it in salt and then on the canker sore. Hurts like hell!
To prevent them in the future-gargle with Listerine 2 times a day

Lysine. You get it at a GMC or vitamin store. The dentist told me that this is the best remedy for them. So try that. Taking it on a regular basis will keep them away too. Good luck.

Try dabbing them with a cotton swab moistened with hydrogen peroxide three or four times a day. Mine's always gone the next day.

Gargle with warm salt water

I use to goggle with warm water with salt.They have to go away by themselves.The salt and water speeds up the process.

Try dissolving an aspirin on them. doesn't taste good, but it alleviates the pain some and speeds healing

Use Ambesol it works really well.
