The Holy Day (which ever day you believe) is a day of church, rest and prayer, if I’m not mistaking. So why do the weekends seem just as busy? Do you observe your "Holy day"? And, many Christians don't observe it, and participate in sporting events, parties and other non-Christ like activities? What’s your view?

First, by "Holy day" I do mean the sabbath on what day you beleive it on.
Second, I have nothing against those that need to work on Sunday, I know why, I am one. But, what about everything else?

Well, the bible says in
Exodus 20:8-11 (New International Version)
8 "Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your manservant or maidservant, nor your animals, nor the alien within your gates. 11 For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.
Christians are not supposed to work on Sunday. but enjoying sundays with activities is fine as long as God is the main priority. Many Christians attend a service, a mass or other spiritual event on Sunday or Saturday. Some pray, some read, some reflect at home, at the park, at a friend's house with others or by themselves. The Spiritual Church isn't a building it's the fellowship of Christians. You don't have to go to a church building to be in church.

Jesus never said "thou shalt not watch football on Sunday."
The sabbath is a day of rest, commemorating the 7th day of creation in which God rested. We are not supposed to work, but there is certainly a lot of things you can do that are restfull and relaxing.
Its interesting how many small groups have made their own rules (not supported by the bible) about how to observe the sabbath. Certain jewish groups, for example, won't turn on the lights or the T.V., or drive the car because it constitutes "kindling a fire" or something like that.
Remember that Jesus himself scolded religious leaders about this very issue, when they complained that he was performing miracles on the Sabbath. His response was that there are some things that are too important to ignore in light of religious tradition. (the proverbial Ox in the well.)

I attend Mass on every Sunday (or vigil) that I am able to. I need it.
One thing most important to remember, before anyone judges across the board on people who work on Sundays. Some people work on Sundays and weekends, not for the money, but because of the nature of the work. Public service such as police and firemen. Military. Medical personnel such as ER doctors and the nurses. EMTs. There are a lot of people working on weekends that would rather not be. God Bless them all.

its because people work on all the other days. businesses or coaches arent looking at saturday as the sabbath, there looking at it as a day were people dont work, no school, and people are looking for things to do. they look at the weekend as a time to make the most money. if a football game was in the middle of the weekday not as many people would go to see it. it has to be the weekend.

by holy day i think you mean Sunday. That is the day of rest and worship for Christians i work on Sundays but i look forward to worshiping Jesus with other believers. i think we as a society made Sunday as a part of weekends because we first would just worship on Sunday but now we have forgotten God

I think you are thinking of not Holy Day, but Sabbath. Holy Day is actually the origin of the word Holiday, so you could consider any holiday a Holy Day.

IMHO... while Constantine began his purpose of unifying the religion decrease than a political reason some ends needed to be tied up. right this is an occasion: A priesthood order existed in a fragmented state for the time of the time of Constantine. there have been people who believed and practiced one faith and people who believed and practiced yet another. The priesthood appeared to be the significant to establishing order and unification. particular clergymen recognized the cut back of authorty as taught by ability of the apostles, whilst others sought skill and dominion of their zealous reason. For the priesthood authority to be correct maintained there ought to be information or a rightful declare to such stretching back to Christ. to that end, the declare became made for the time of the countless clergymen and bishops establishing a link back to Peter. in spite of the undeniable fact that.....the link ought to in hassle-free terms rudimentary be well-known making use of the place of work of a accessible bishop. declare to apostleship authority became previous their draw close. mockingly, it is what the early church needed for a rightful declare to be well-known. An apostle appointed the early bishops. Bishops authority became constrained to a geographical section. The declare that Peter became "the rock" is the only justification the early church ought to stand by ability of for an instantaneous declare to the priesthood authority. by ability of generalizing this single verse, and then implying that the "early Christian church" became to not at all fall away became their in hassle-free terms desire. in keeping with risk it made experience to them as they have been already lost in apostasy and walking at night. Early writings study that the presents of the spirit have been regularly long gone around the time of 325 A.D. the belief of revelation and direct verbal replace with God grew to alter into out of date. As others have already published...it is in great irony in assessment to the verses you have presented. The rock in reference isn't Peter. that's in connection with the "revelation" as defined by ability of the Savior in verse 17. Revelation is the "rock" which confounds fake doctrines, establishes the reality, and broadcasts God's will to His toddlers.
