I've been studying ancient cultures and certain entheogens, I want to buy a plant to try it, I cannot go into a head shop because I am too young, and I cannot buy the leaves legally, could I possibly get it from a garden center or nursery?

i take it you are not looking for just any old salvia. salvia references the entire family of sages. I feel what you are looking for is Salvia Divinorum.

If you can not buy the leaves legally what makes you think you can buy it at a garden center. I looked on yahoo search and it is a plant thought to have a medical purpose so why should you have to go to a head shop for a medical plant and why would its leaves be illegal?
If you think it is illegal because of your age then maybe some one else who is studying ancient cultures who is older can get a plant and you can study it together.

Salvia Divinorium is not something to be used lightly. and is not "legal pot". sometimes the experience is good, sometimes it is extremely bad. you really need to know what you are doing before you play with Saliva. there are different methods of using it and each one has some dangers associated with it.
many people will attempt to get up and walk around while under the influence of salvia, several have been hurt because they did not have a "spotter" (a person to keep them in one room) and fallen down stairs, or out windows.
Salvia is not a way to experiment with a religion it is a much higher level thing to do after you have much experience with the religion. (you would not experiment with catholic religion by jumping into a confessional booth on the priest's side would you.)
so i will not tell you where to get it, or how to use it because you need to know why it needs to be used in the first place. and it needs to be used in a responsible manner so that it will remain legal.

what he is asking about is Salvia Divinorium, a plant in the sage family that is a strong hallucinogenic plant used by many people of a pagan or Shamanic religion to attain an altered state of mind(astral travel) (deep meditation)

Be careful if you go to a nursery, those plants may be a different variety or type than the ones that are grown for the shops-like using pesticides or hybred to bloom more, for gardening...I dont know.
Id have somone you know who's old enough to buy them for you.

You can buy live plants online, but you can probably find live plants at many nurseries in your town, even at Walmart. For dry product, online is probably a faster route.

they sell them in nurseries , but I don't know if it's the same plant you're looking for, So buy it and try it
