Some guys like the feeling of being in controll and dominating the woman, some may just do it because they know or wrongly think the woman is into it. Some women are very excited by having teir hair pulled, being choked, treated roughly, being called names etc. It can be a thrill of being controlled, it may be the sensation of the hair being pulled each person could have their own reason. As for the psychology of the guy i think it would be best determined through comunication. If you can discuss the issue he may say he just thought you liked it, and talk about if you want to continue the practice. If he reacts violently well I guess you know hes abusing. I will often pull hair, or gently choke, or even slap a girl if she makes it clear that its something she wants. Im far from controlling or abusive.

It might be weird and he may be a control freak ! Only time will tell and if, it continues and he becomes abusive ~ end it ! In the meantime, tell him to take it easy or he'll have to find someone else (if it gets outta hand) !!!

I don't think that it is abuse, some people get pleasure out of it. My man does it and when it hurts I tell him and he stills pulls it just not as hard. He likes to joke about it and say that "Pain is pleasure baby"

Most guys (including myself) like to pull women's hair during intercourse, cause its a major turn-on and increases the pleasure level.
Now, if a guy is pulling chunks of hair out, then, you need to kindly tell him, "GET THE F*CK OFF ME!"

Its really not abusive if the girl doesn' t care...its kinda just the heat of the moment...I don't mind it myself.
