I've known this guy for about 6 months, and we've both been attracted to each other for the entire 6 months, but I was in a relationship until about 2 months ago. I've been out of town, but am coming back into town in a few weeks. He and some of my friends are going to meet me in Vegas and we're going to hang out there for a few days. Would it be a bad idea to sleep with him? Is it too soon?

just a note, he doesn't have a girlfriend, I think I'd know that, and I'm not planning on starting anything... I just want to be prepared if they do

It depends on your values or his. A man with conservative background may sleep with a woman for lust but after that will think of her as easy to get and overly modern. A conservative woman, on the other hand, will never sleep with a man unless he is her husband.
Your sleeping with him may prove to be very exciting at first but then you should consider many things before doing "it" with him. Possible pregnancy. Are you both ready for it? Your image as a woman. Can you take sarcasms from others who don't share the same values as yours? His real intention. Is he in love with you to make "it" with you? Age and maturity. Are you both old and matured enough to face a relationship whih may be in the offing between you?
If I were you, I would give myself and him more time to know each other better. Mere companionship will do in Las Vegas. And the only time when I would sleep with him is when I am pretty sure that he loves me and I love him in return because what I want is a relationship that will last forever.

Girl, you were basically seeing him on the side for 4 months while you were already in a relationship. I think that was a bad idea - it may introduce anxiety into any relationship you too might have (i.e., if you did that once, what would stop you from doing it again). But whatever. It is too soon if you feel at all that he would just be using you, since you like him. So go with your gut.

Are you sure that he is not dating anyone? You may want to see what he wants to do. I think your best bet is to wait, at least for a little longer. If that is all he wants is to sleep with you, it is not worth it. You will be putting more into it then him. Be sure what he wants first.
