Ok I actually have an appointment to get my dog fixed in 2 weeks. I recently found her on the side of the road lonely and hungry. Well In the past week she has went into heat. My lovely husband (will I was at work) let her outside to use the restroom while he was still inside. When he went out together she had locked up with another dog. Since she was in heat how likely is it that she is pregnant?

Depends... Are you using a condom?

Just kidding. Same as any other pregnancy odd. Dogs are very fertile in general. If you are actively breeding, it shouldn't be difficult.

Firstly, if being irresponsible means you love your dog and care enough to ask about it's wellbeing, then yes, you are irresponsible. I hope you don't take what that stupid woman said to heart, I can't stand people like that who think they are better than everyone else. Secondly, if your dog has no health issues, then there's a high chance she is pregnant. My dog was abused and had a litter of puppies before I came to own her. Before I got her desexed she mated with another dog (and tied), but did not fall pregnant due to her still not completely recovering from her abuse. As another person mentioned, you can desex while she is pregnant. It's not nice, but the puppies don't know what's going on and the vet puts them to sleep. Sometimes this can be the best option when they could be brought into this world and spend a lifetime being abused. If you know people you can give the puppies to that would treat them well, it would be ok, otherwise, I would personally keep the appointment with the vet. Goodluck!

Extremely likely! But the Vet can still do a spay in 2 weeks just let him know that she tied with a dog and the date of the tie.

Hope I helped and good luck,

She seems pregnant to me yet in basic terms a vet can inform you extremely. you will desire to be doing a spay/abort day after today if i substitute into you. great sized mutts are the toughest to locate residences for & the added expenditures of taking good care of doggies is better than i'd choose.

It's a pretty good chance unless the dog she locked up with was fixed( and yes they still do it) Just let the vet know when you take her in for her surgery.

I would say the likelihood is high that she is pregnant. You can go ahead and have her fixed which will mean aborting the pups. Or wait to see if she is pregnant and have her fixed after the pups are born. If you do not want her to have the pups, have her fixed as scheduled.

she may get pregnant, and not to sound too blunt but as you have an appointment in 2 weeks, it is something the vet can take care of. If you so desire.

very likely. if 2 dogs lock, plan to be a grandma. a female dog will not let a male dog mate with her unless she is ready to be bred.
Congratulations!

Pretty dang likely.
Have her spayed. Please. We have too many dogs and you are obviously not a really responsible owner.
Better yet, find all your pets new homes, immediately. You shouldn't own one if you are gonna let it loose like that.
