first suggest a quiet pet such as fish, turtles, hamster maybe..to your parents..if they say we'll see..yougo on the internet and research all u can about the pet u want..then give or show and tell ur parents what u have discovered and researched..then start maybe giving them options if they do buy u a pet..you will do this and that or something that shos ur responsible enough for a pet.

ask yourself if you have time or money for a dog? the first exam and shots is a couple hundred dollars. spaying/neutering is about $150-200. some dogs need to be groomed once a month which is usually about $40 (and brushed several times a week). small dogs should get their teeth clean once a year which starts at $150.flea treatment is about $50 for a three month supply. then theres food, toys, treats, leashes, collars, crates, bed, chewies, clothes, training, etc.never buy dog food if corn is one of the first three ingredients!! it is not good for your dog. there are alot more costs to consider other than the initial price of a dog, puppies need alot of time devoted to them. they need to be taken outside to potty every one or two hours, or get used to cleaning urine/feces out of your carpet. so many people let their dogs get matted, let their teeth rot, be flea ridden, eat horrible food, etc so do your research before deciding if you have the time and money to properly care for your dog.if you are in school 8 hours a day what will your dog do?most teenagers want to socialize after school, and dont have spare time to give the attention a dog needs and deseves. what about when you go to college and start working most dogs live at least 10 years. dogs are like kids.

I didn't understand a word you just said.
Anyhow, your parents are in charge. Go to the zoo or something and learn about animals. Maybe you could get a job working with dogs. If you don't know what to do, you have no business owning a dog....they require a lot of attention and your parents know that....

If you are serious about a pet, go to a local Pet shelter, they are much cheaper and the people there can help you immensely with what types of shots the dog needs and how to have him/her fixed. They are very helpful!

show them that's you're responsible enough to take care of one. I beg by parents for years for a dog, but it seem like they didn't think i was responsible enough.. so i worked at pet stores cleaning dog cages and their poops... I proved my parents wrong that i am responsible, hopefully u will too. good luck
