can anyone tell me a riddle that needs to be thought about to be solved

there is one about trying to figure out how to get 4 gallons of water exactly when u have a 3 gallon barrel and a 5 gallon barrel

anyways i want a riddle that makes u have to think like that .... do u no any...

A mother has three sick children. She has a 24-ounce bottle of medicine and needs to give each child eight ounces of the medicine. She is unable to get to the store and has only three clean containers, which measure 5, 11 and 13 ounces. The electricity is out and she has no way of heating water to wash the containers and doesn't want to spread germs. How can she divide the medicine to give each child an equal portion without having any two children drink from the same container?

Fills A to rim:

Empties C in B:
Bottle=11; A=8; B=5; C=0
From A, she fills C:
Bottle=11; A=3; B=5; C=5
Pours A over B:
Bottle=11; A=0; B=8; C=5
She gives B to child#1.

She's left with:

Returns content of C to Bottle:

Fill the 3 gallon barrel. pour it into the 5 gallon barrel
fill the 3 gallon barrel again, pour it into the 5 gallon barrel to the top leaving 1 gallon in the 3 gallon barrel. dump the 5 gallon barrel. pour the 1 galloon in to the 5 gallon barrel, fill the 3 gallon and pour it into the 5 gallon barrel adding it to the 1 gallon there. you now have 4 gallons in the 5 gallon barrel
