Not true. My mom is not rich but has several friends who are millionaires. She was just invited to a party at one such friends house this week. They didn't do any thing fancy.... just rode four wheelers , ate hotdogs and played yahtzee. You just have to get to know someone before you can judge them no matter what their race, religion, financial status or whatever.

I don't think is so much about rich or poor as how people act.
I have a great range of friends and whilst I'm not supper rich, I have more money than some and less than others. I do have certain friends I just would not invite to a party together because they would not get along and I might risking losing both parties as friends. I have one guy who has loud outspoken views on the ethnic minorities, I don't agree with them, but he has a heart of gold, but he would seriously offend some of my other friends, so I would not invite them to the same parties. Likewise as a single female I often find myself not invite to dinner parties, that many of my friends who are couples have....as I do not have a partner.
Accept all your friends are different and value each of them for their good points. Why not ask your rich friends to you family and friends gatherings, see if your friends and family behave "badly or swear" around these rich friends, then you might see what the "fear" will happen if they invite you to their posh parties. Hope this answer is not as offensive to you as some of the others.

I try not to stereotype but in my experience rich people are mean, snobby, and look down on non-rich people. I'm sure there are many very nice rich people but I haven't met any of them.
To give them the benefit of the doubt they might also think that the poor person would uncomfortable around the rich people so they wouldn't invite them.

don't stereotype people.
rich people aren't always snobs, though I do admit a lot of them can be. it really just depends on the individual.
there can be poor people who are snobs and vice versa.
i'm rich and most of the people i hang out with and invite over to my house aren't rich. i could care less how much money someone has or someone's "social status" is.
dont group people into categories.
and what do you mean by the last sentence?

If I am a poor person I don't want to be invited by rich people either. I feel I can't match their wealth. How am I going to buy them gifts if I am invited to their posh birthday/anniversary/Christmas etc parties???????? I won't be able to afford nice gifts which they are used to. So I would rather not associate with rich people. I would rather associate with people of the same economic level/status as me.

Well, you're not being invited because of your poor spelling and grammar.
Perhaps you don't understand the differentiation of classes in our society. It's not about "spoiling the fun;" it's just how it is. I'm sure if a poor person got to be good friends with a rich person, perhaps they would be invited over... but that's unlikely simply because of the way our society is divided. I don't think rich people go out of their way to not invite poor people... it's just that in our society, people tend to "hang out" with those of a similar economic class.
Also, if "these are from your Lord" then you would simply realize that everyone is created equal and this would not bother you in the slightest.

Would you be a dear and bring me a red wine glass from the pergola?
Did you understand my question?
Would you feel comfortable around people that you don't understand and have nothing in common with?
Be honest.
Do you feel deprived, heah?
Well guess what, you probably will always feel deprived.
Love,
~MOM~
P.S.
Don't worry, if you have a million, you might be looking for ten million,,,,and if you have that, you might be looking for one hundred million and so forth, and so on.....and see if any of those people are going to fart you a farthing.
Just see (or be silly enough to go looking for it!).
I mean, are you currently worried about Amazonian Bush people? Do you feel that they need a day off?
Until I just mentioned it, they were probably the farthest thing on your mind. Right? Get it?
So much for the rich people.
I'm still looking for that drink.

ok, I have one for ya: let me let you in on a secret ok?? I am poor, and I am a snob. i admit it. Freely. i know that rich ppl like other rich ppl because they can identify with them, and they feel comfy with them. I am poor and can't stand rich ppl. Yeah, that is my secret obbsession: i don't like the rich!!! I have met some rich ppl who act like total @$$es in private, and I have met alot of poor ppl ( i live in the ghetto, and i am white,) who are very mannerly and well-behaved. it depends on the person. Please don't classify others. If they are from your lord, I would find another lord. My lord doesn't discriminate against those who are " well-to-do",poor, and the rich, even though,I do.

Maybe it's people in general that don't want YOU at their parties/gatherings because of your stereotyping! You are ranting about something you obviously have no clue or basis for! I'm assuming from your rantings that you are poor and know lots of rich people who don't invite you to their parties/gatherings. Again, i can see why!
What does " those are from my Lord" supposed to mean? That you're on crack maybe? Really? Did you even watch what you were typing? If it's supposed to be a reference about God on your side with this...I know you're on crack! God loves everyone and to Him we are all equal. Including you, crack head!

Don't stero type. I know some rich people who are very kind and loving. Some poor people who are snobs.
Opray Winfrey helps more people than just about anyone else.
Bill Gates is not like most rich people and helps everyone.
Jimmy Carter is very well to do and spends his time volenteering to build homes for poor people. Habitate for humanity.
opray takes food and clothes to Africa for the very poorest people.
