first of all if you are feeling faint or dizzy then you need to call 911 or have someone take you to the nearest emergency room. too much blood loss can cause you to go into shock.
but cuts also tend to look like they are bleeding alot more than they actually are. if the cut is deep enough to where you can spread it open and see inside then you need stitches.regardless you should be seen within 24 hours just to have it checked and also get a tetanus shot.
in the meantime, wash it well with warm water and mild soap (dove or ivory) using soaps with dyes or perfumes will irritate the cut. do not use peroxide if the wound is deep-this can actually damage any tissue that is trying to heal.
after washing the cut, apply a thin layer of neosporin and wrap the cut with gauze. you can find this at any drugstore. you can tape this with medical tape you can also find at the drugstore...
for pain take ibuprofen-it also has an antiinflammatory in it to help reduce swelling as well. take 200-400mg every 6 hours but no more than 1200mg in 24 hours.
report to the emergency room if:
-you can see inside the cut as i mentioned earlier
-you feel faint, dizzy,or you pass out
-you start running a fever of 101.0 or higher
-the cut has increased redness, swelling,or starts to drain liquid that is green or yellowish-brown in color
-you have red line extending from your heel up your leg (this indicates an infection in the blood stream and you'll need i.v antibiotics asap)
the last few things are signs of infection and need antibiotics to treat it.

Ok for starters anytime you get cut no matter what its from you need to make sure its not going to get infected. If you did loose a lot of blood you may need stitches and a tetanus shot to make sure there was nothing on the glass that would cause problems in the healing process. I am not a nurse but I am telling you what I was told to do. Also once you get Stitches be sure to keep the area clean and be more
careful in the future and wear shoes! That's what they are for! Dont take my word completly but anytime you get cut and you bleed a major amount go to the doctor. Im assuming there are no doctors on here so dont worry about everyones opinions. Get a pro to help you.

Go get some tetanus shots to guard against infection.
You might need stitches if the cut is real wide.
However, immediately after any cut, the first thing you should do before any of the above is to apply some pressure to the cut to prevent bleeding, You could use Ice to rub it, the bleeding will stop
I tell you no matter how wide the cut is (Reasonably), it'll always work

It depends on how much blood and how deep. The feet bleed alot. If you lost to much blood your body would show signs of shock. If you physically feel fine I would not worry about it, just make sure like the other answers that you get a tetnus shot and if needed stiches! Good Luck!!

If the cut is bad enough you need to get it sutured and a tetanus update. I doubt you lost enough blood to matter.

Keep it clean and dry. Keep it covered except when you are in bed. If you haven't had a tetanus shot in 5 years you need to get one.
