Why do you want to be class president, then? It seems that wanting that position includes a desire to please people, which makes one popular.
So you're going to have to figure out how to please others. Start by smiling and saying something short but nice to each one you meet.

Yeah, that was me in 6th grade. Essentially, the younger you are, the worse off you are. The younger you are, the more popularity will play into it. Got any popular friends? You may have to piggyback off of them. Convince them to convince others that you are the right one for the job. Be sincere. If you've been through other class elections, study, learn, and practice what others have done or said to better your chances - if they're honest, be honest. If they make outlandish promises, make outlandish promises. Remember this though - its pretty much a puppet position designed by the school administration to make students think they have a say in matters but they don't (at least in anything big). It'll look good on a college application but that's about it. So do the best you can and good luck.

Write-ins are uneasy territory. in a lot of circumstances, a write-in is a vote for the guy you do not prefer to win. Romney isn't something like Kerry. Ron Paul lost and if he couldn't do it contained in the primaries, he actually received't pull it off on election day. as well, he's alienated too many human beings, it really is what value him attractiveness overall. better to vote for the lesser of two evils. If the country is ill of politics as wide-spread, you pick applicants on a community element first. From the way it looks, quite some the country isn't. The media is at the moment the determining stress for elections and diverse the traditional public received't question them or communicate out.

IF Winning is all that it's about, you're also unpopular with ME! AND I don't even know you.
I do have a valid suggestion however.
BECOME popular with the school administration, learn their goals for the student body, assert your goals, compromise, gain acceptance in those areas that will benefit the student body, and use that as your platform.

Well, it depends on how much time you have until the election. Make new friends. Join a few clubs. Support your school or class as much as you can and maybe kids will realize what a great person you are and vote for you. Or you can just hope for the best if you don't have enough time. Good Luck!

Listen to Miguel.
Sometimes people vote 'against' someone rather than 'for' someone else, and you may pick up votes that way. Also, just as in the real political world, people chose a person for office that may be a compromise/neutral candidate, who is not part of a particular clique.... that's where you step in!
Good Luck for Next Time!

What exactly is your question? You don't need to be popular to be a good leader, make good decisions, and do what is best for your fellow students. What does being popular mean to you? Is that why you want to be class president or do you just want to make changes, have input in class decisions and just make a difference. Liking yourself and feeling important and valued are far more important than being popular-Good Luck!

Kiss a lot of butt and make a lot of empty promises. It works in real politics as well as popularity contests.
