There is no reason to convert to Judaism. All the righteous of the nations have a share in the world to come if they follow the seven Noahide laws. Those who still want to convert must be persistent because rabbis will turn them away three times. Rabbis want to assure that a person is very serious about their intent. Non-Jews have only seven laws to follow, but when becoming a Jew, you accept many obligations to God with no special rewards. Jews have more than 200 laws to follow.

They believe religion and belief in God are a personal choice and don't actively seek to convert. In fact, they will ask many questions and ask that you really think about converting if you show interest in coming to Judaism.

They also make you take many classes (for about three years) before you can become a Jew.

This is because Judaism does not teach that you must be a Jew to get into heaven. It is not an exclusive religion in that sense, like Christianity or Islam, which say you are either a member, or you're hellbound.

this is because its something the Jew's believe, if you want to become Jewish, you decide, not some other influence. neways, the Jew's are taught to respect the other religions, to extent. there are only few where the Torah specify's what people the Jew's need to get rid of.

We are actually told (From Ruth's conversion) to try and discourage conversions, and only accept those who are determined. It is possible for a non-Jew to get rewarded in Heaven, for following the 7 Noahide Laws.

Israel is actively encouraging converts in South America. It is paying people to become "Jews" and migrate to Israel to become "settlers."
