I recently bought a Canon DV40. I took some footage (scenes) on my dvd camcorder. I put a DVD-RW in the camcorder, then instead of VR, I selected Video. Is there anyway I can delete the scenes i took or get it on the comp and then delete it that way? I have Roxio MyDVD for Canon, and i tried deleting it that way and i think it just deletes the video from the program, and not from the dvd itself.

Any help would be greatly appeciated!

You will need to use some video editing software... I like PInnacle software (I think they are up to version 10 now)... not cheap but it gives a good video and lots of options for sound, titles, etc.

You can download a trial version at :

OH.. and then you will need to burn a new DvD.

you would only beable to reformatt the disc. You cannot select a scene to delete. It's all or nothing. My suggestion is to burn a new disc with the stuff you want then re format the old disc.
