Hi there...I've encountered this same dilemma with several clients cats. My friend who is a vet and feline behaviourist says it has to do with the pheromones emitted by each human gender. Mens pheromones are different than from a womens... as you've noted that it isn't just your girlfriend, but any female human that Peaches doesn't like. Here are some suggestions my vet/friend suggested to try first:

Have your girlfriend and any females entering the home rub catnip on their lower leg pants/shoes. Keep a container at the entry door to remind you to have them doused.

Have the female visitors carry a small amount of kitty treats to leave for the cat whenever she walks around them. She doesn't need to be close by, but rather where she can see the female visitor leaving the treat for her.

Last...if you wear cologne dab a little on each female visitor so that a little of your scent is on the girls.

We have a cat that came from the junk yard. She use to only like men, cats know who are good people and bad (well I think) but as much as Peach hates it have your girlfriend pet her and hold her. The cat may hiss and growl but she will get over it!

Why is it necessary that they like each other?

If the cat is not agressive to the girl, or vice versa, there really is not a problem.

I co-exist peacefully with some co-workers that I absolutely cannot stand. A cat that simply doesn't crave my companionship isn't a problem. Being liked is nice, but in many relationship settings it is not necessary.

Let them each have their own space in your life. Enjoy the fact that they both like you.

Now if the girlfriend was pressuring you to get rid of the cat, I'd say it was time to get rid of the girl!

Best of luck!

Try splashing some of your cologne on her. then whenever she comes over have her give your kitten a treat it really enjoys. Make sure she talks to the kitten when she is doing this so the kitten recognizes her voice. Eventually, stop putting your cologne on her and just have her give the treat. again make sure she talks to the kitten. eventually just the sound of your girlfriends voice will be enough for the kitty to respond to.

Give some time. Your cat will get the idea that your girl and rest the girls would not hurt her. Her fears will melt away.

She may just not like girls in general, or she may really dislike your girlfriend. Give it time. Your gf is invading her territory, and cats are extremely territorial. In time your kitty will be more comfortable, although she may never totally warm up to your gf.

lock the cat in a room with little things to hide behind with your gf, supplie her with the cats favorite treats, after 5 or 10 minutes, joing them in the room, and see if there was any process.

You know what they always say-Pets are the best judge of character. Does your gf even like pets? Think about it.
