I use any of the more premium dog foods. The lowest brand i'll use because my dogs tolerate it pretty well and has no corn is the Nutro Natural. Other brands I like and use is Canidae , Wellness , Drs Foster and Smith.I'll rotate the foods about every 4 months or so. I will never feed my dogs foods from a grocery store. Those ingredients in those foods are enough to kill your pet.

We use the costco kirland brand -- on the back it has the same address as the "name brand" dog food. I was also told NOT to use science diet -- by several experts... read the packaging -- you will be SHOCKED at what your dog is eating

Brand doesn't really matter. It's the ingredients that matter nutritionally. Make sure that meat is the first thing on the ingredientd list, whether it be chicken, beef, lamb or such. It'll provide essential oils and protein. Dogs are carnivores naturally so meat is very important.

My dog eats Food Lion brand adult dog food and loves it! She has allergies, so she eats the lamb and rice formula.

BTW, for the Iams lovers, its proven how terrible the Iams people treat their animals when they are testing their food. You animal lovers should yahoo search that!

Chicken Soup For The Dog Lover's Soul. It has no by products, no corn, no wheat, no soy, no beet pulp, no chemicals, no dyes. It has meat as the first 4 ingredients and also has other named meat sources as well as eggs in the ingredients.

IAMS Lamb and rice - And in case you wonder why - I will tell you. It's kinda gross I know but the fact is if you use a high quality dog food they digest their food better - hence less poop to clean up = less work :-) - they eat less food which makes it cheaper in the long run. Science Diet is pretty good stuff too.

I feed my dog Pedigree. My Gram feeds her German Shepperd Old Roy from walmart and has gotten uncounted compliments on how well conditioned her dog is. Just read labels and compare. Different dogs need different things.
