Because they can pay other people to do their fighting but they have to tell their own lies.

George H W Bush (#41) served in WW2 as a navy pilot, one of the youngest who ever served.

GWB (#43) proudly served in the Texas National Guard during the Vietnam war. Texas was *never* invaded by the North Vietnamese during his service.

Cheney got himself a hecka lot of deferments and safely stayed in college. But I think was a Korean war eligible. Condi Rice was busy at Regis College in Colorado, and later at Stanford. Neither were invaded. Limbaugh - not sure about his military background, but I don't think he ever would have survived basic training.

It's a good question, but it doesn't matter whether you were an actual veteran or not. Reagan 'served' in Hollywood, cranking out war films. Clinton didn't serve.

Someone thought we should settle conflicts by getting the leaders of the warring countries in a room, and have 'em arm wrestle, or maybe go mano a mano a few rounds. Sure would cost a lot less than $10 billion a month we're spending in Iraq and Afganistan.

Have a good, safe day. And remember the troops and their families who made the sacrifice. Even if we don't agree with the war, they are in harm's way.

clinton didn't go to war either when we invaded Yugoslavia. We did the right thing by attacking his army. I am a REPUBLICAN and can admit that. Milosavic was a tyrant and should have been taken out of power. why is it that you DEMS can't support Iraq when Hussein killed and tortured way more people than Milosavic. girls can go to school and the people can vote. Not to mention that sadaam can't order their execution just for disagreeing with his policies! He also can't be giving families of suicide bombers $25,000 for their loved ones kiling themselves. How can giving people freedom be a bad thing. WE ARE THE GOOD GUYS! Stop trying to plant the seeds of hatred from the left and realize that we are doing an incredible job.

What does an over weight wind bag like Limbaugh have to do with Bush. He was military and so was his father.

It is a volunteer service. 98% of all Americans don't join the military, but that doesn't mean they can't be supportive of the military. And in case you forgot, Bush was in the ANG.

Someone has to run the country. Soldiers die, but leaders are remembered. That is the way it is. If you were a soldier, would you want Dick Cheney watching your back? Of course not. He is far better suited to politics than war.

That's what the government is there for. Make policies that other people carry on... Life ain't fair but that's how it works.
Wrong or right....
