I don't think the actual act of masturbating is. The thoughts that come with it are though. Maybe it's me but it's awful hard to masturbate and not think sinfully/lustfully.

If any of you remember Father Guido Sarducci from SNL, then he says (make sure you use an Italian accent): When you geta to Heaven, youa have to pay for your sinsa. Yes masturbation is a sin, buta, it's a smalla sin. For a smalla sin you only get charged a .25 acents. For stealing you maya be charged a $5.00. But thata smalla sin... masturbation... buta after a whilea, ita all adds up....25, .25 .25 .25 .25,.25..25

Apparently the Catholics believe you are wasting your seed to create a family of 500...lol. (and yes, family members who belong to this church told me this) Basically if you have a tent pitched at work you're supposed to leave, go find your wife at her job, and meet in the broom closet for 10 minutes. Whatever. Lots of people think it's sinful. You know what's even more of a sin? Girls being mothers at 12, babies who don't know who their daddy is, kids who will never be adopted and will remain a part of the system, and teaching kids that taking matters into their own hands (so to speak) sends them on a spiral to hell.

*ahem* No, I do not consider masturbation a sin.

I said this in the other question that asked whether or not masturbation is a sin, and I'll ask it again.

If it is a sin, then why do we, every now and then, have nocturnal emissions? Could that be God's way of saying, "If you're not going to 'clean the pipes,' I'm cleaning them for you."

No, I don't.
Imho, sin is when you deliberately do some act, knowing ahead of time that you will be causing harm. We are a self-centered race, we tend to think of the benefit to ourselves before we worry about the harm we do to others.
What makes sin so "sinful" is the harm part....

Only law imputes sin to anyone, thereby to everyone:
Where no law, there no transgression: Romans 4:15
When no law, then no sin is imputed: Romans 5:13
Ye are not under law, but under grace: Rom 6 x 2; Gal 5

Whatsoever is not of faith is sin: Rom 14:23
The law is not of faith: Gal 3:12

The "grace" of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

No not at all. Some people think that it is not right (I am one of those), but I have a lot of friends that enjoy this. It is safe, and you can control your pleasure. It is not a sin to make yourself feel good.

i consider it as a sin but if it's help to avoid from being involved in adultery then it's sort of not-so-great sin ( as adultery is one of the Great sin ).
