i do not judge a person themself, but i do know the difference between right and wrong, and in the bible it says that homosexuality is wrong. i do not hate the sinner or any person but the sin its self. so i am against it. it also says lying, cheating, stealing, murdering, etc. are wrong, and i am against those things also, i am not saying i am perfect, but i am far from it, but if someone was to ask me if homosexuality or any other thing that was a sin was right i would have to say that i am against any sin. we are not perfect, but we should not live by our impulses either, people say you cant help how you feel, but if any person acted on every impulse, would we not all be murderers?
here is some scripture which proves it is wrong
1 Timothy 1:8-11
1 Timothy 1:8-11
But we know that the Law is good, if one uses it lawfully, realizing the fact that law is not made for a righteous person, but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers and immoral men and homosexuals and kidnappers and liars and perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound teaching, according to the glorious gospel of God, with which i have been entrusted.

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor the drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.

Good for you!
Have you ever wondered why there are no Kleptomaniac Pride parades, or Pathological Liar Pride stickers for liars to put on their cars? Or how about KKK Killer Pride bumper stickers? Do you think those sorts of things would go over?
We know that all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God...

When you read the Bible - you find that God is the Judge - not anyone else - if you judge and take action against someone you feel is doing wrong - You are doing God's job and NO ONE ON THIS EARTH CAN DO GOD"S JOB and go to heaven.
God taught us to love our brothers and sisters - not to judge and sentence them. For as you judge and sentence - God will judge you.
<<<>>> - you need proof - read 1 Corinthiand 6:9-10 - 9 Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
That is from God Himself.

Why would we all be murderers. I would not kill someone and I don't even believe the bible to be true, I don't steal because that is not a code that I live by. Religion does not own the market on morality. Morality is a personal choice, you know what is right and wrong not from religion but because we live in a society in which you have to live together. I have impulses to breath, procreate and eat; are you saying I shouldn't do any of these things? Any normal person should display a certain amount of discipline in there lives, that's just common sense. If not we would all be either fat, sex addicts or alcoholics. Live by the laws of the land, then come up with your own code to live by, this is all that you can truly ask of a person. To use your religion to justify your own bigotry is just plain wrong, if you can't see that then you need to re-examine your sense of morality.

Leviticus 18:22 also lists homosexuality as a sin. I agree with you for the most part. I don't hate the sinner, but I acknowledge the sin. It is not my place to judge, but to state what I know from the Word of the Lord. I do not condemn anyone to hell. Jesus will judge all of us in the end.

I think that the Bible is pretty clear in labeling homosexual acts sinful.
But at the same time, just because the Bible labels something as a "sin" doesn't mean it's wrong for non-Christians. Right and wrong is an entirely different matter from "sin according to Christianity". As a non-Christian, Biblical rules are utterly irrelevant to me.
Most Christians don't seem able to grasp that fact, though there are a few here who seem to understand.

The quotation you mention does not discuss "homosexuality" as sexual orientation, nor does any other passage of the Old or New Testaments. The Greek term mistranslated above as "homosexuals" is "arsenokoitais," an obscure term the exact meaning of which we do not know. It most likely refers to male prostitutes. The late antique period did not have any concept of sexual identity.
The scriptures do not even discuss, much less condemn, homosexuality.

I agree with you . We should always hate the sin and not the sinner, knowing we all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God, and but forth grace of God, any of us could be the homosexual, murderer, adulterous, etc. No one Can be perfect, but we strive for that perfection, recognize our sins, and try to overcome our sinful nature.
Genesis 19 tells of God destroying the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah and men sleeping with men was specifically mentioned.

Actually, the bible does contain a specific prohibition against two males engaging in sex together. In Leviticus !8:22, God tells Moses: "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination." Furthermore, God commands in 20:13: "If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death." So, I guess you're free to continue hating the sin but not the sinner. But while you're at it prepare yourself to hate an awful lot of sin because God was rather prolific in desiignating them.
For example and again in Leviticus, God also prohibits humans from eating camels, rock badgers, rabbits, pigs, and any animal that does not have a divided hoof and chews cud. We are further commanded to forego eagles, ostrich, kites, falcons, ravens, seagulls, owls, storks, herons, bats , not to mention that great delicasy: the hoopoe. If you're a seafood fan stay away from catfish, oysters, shrinp, crabs, clams, calamari, eel, sharks and any other sea or river creature that does not have scales and fins.
So much for the menu. God goes on to command Moses on a great multitude of his statutes, including, among many other things, prohibitions against beard-trimming and tattoos. He also forbids breeding together two kinds of cattle or sowing your field with two kinds of seed. He even forbids the wearing of any garment made of two kinds of material mixed together.
I could go on but I won't. My point is that one cannot go cherry-picking through the bible choosing some sins while ignoring the inconvenient and archaic others. Just remember the next time you go to Red Lobster, that the tattooed, clean shaven man in his wrinkle-free, cotton/polyster shirt, gorging himself on the all-you-can-eat shrimpfest is also a sinner. So go ahead and continue hating the sin but be prepared for a whole lot of it.

You need to read more about the Bible. I wouldn't place all my eggs in that basket. We've spent centuries believing in myths; buying into an ancient, paternal, power play to keep the masses poor, to keep women as less than human commodities, and to give the religionists of the world with a many barbed whip to keep us in line. (Bible) You won't like this answer as most humans are lemmings and afraid to walk the path less taken. Just remember that GOD is love and you should make love the first priority in your life which will eliminate the need to ask such a question in the first place.
