If you are staying at the house 24/7 and have the run of the house, I'd only charge $35.00 a day. This is what I pay for my house/sitter. I have one dog, two cats and a horse. The girl who stays is a Vet Technician and this is all she charges. It's worth it to people, just to keep their pets comfortable in their own surroundings, rather than have to board at a kennel.

When you take a dog to a shelter, they usually charge 30.00 a day. If you are staying at the home, I think that number would be appropriate.

Depends on where you live. I was making a killing in San Francisco. But if you were out in the sticks, you should probably ask for a lot less.
