It depends upon the status of the individuals. The food varies from person to person. To be in the safe side, extract juice of one bitter gourd, one cucumber and one tomato and mix them well to drink first thing in the morning daily before half an hour of breakfast to control the disorder. Also take quarter tea-spoon cinnamon powder after breakfast. Eating 2-3 raw garlic crushed into fine pieces and gulp with hot water will take care of high blood pressure. Cucumbers are very ideal for diabetic patients. Eat lots of vegetables, fruits and salad. If you have to eat bread only eat lite bread. Fruits such as, mango to be avoided totally. Drink sufficient water to quench your thrust due to diabetes. Brisk walking for one hour daily has proved to be a very effective exercise for the diabetic conditions. Always think positive. Reduce weight if obese and correct constipation. Cut down on food stuffs loaded with lots of calories. Be away from alcohol, tobacco, tea and coffee. Good luck and best of health.

1. Don't eat anything white: bread, rice, sugar, potato.
2. My most recent favorite dish:
1 small container of Better n Eggs
1/ 2 an apple peeled and sliced thin
tbl raisens.
2 tsp Splenda brown sugar
dash of cinamon.

Spray an oval dish with pam...place all ingredient in dish and pour egg mix over it. Cook for 2 1/2 minutes in the microwave and it is done. Quick, easy, delicious. Heard it on the Bill Cosby show this week and it sounded good to me so I did it. What a hit! Enjoy.

Basically reducing carbs and sugars. A great plan is the Schwarzbein Principle. It's a book written by a doctor to help her diabetic patients reduce or get off their diabetic medications

There's a magazine called, "Diabetic Management" and you can get it at Barnes & Noble or Borders. It has a whole section on recipies.

Basically, you have to trace foods from conception to digestion to make sure they don't turn to starch. Anything white (flour based) turns to sugar. Stick to veggies, chicken, fish, and meats. Whole grain flour products are better (like cereals and pastas). Good luck!!

We are selling a book of diabetic recipes on www.kijiji.ca if you're interested. Eat a lot of cucumber - it regulates blood sugar, and you won't feel thirsty either.
