A good therapist.
There's a difference between being depressed over an event and having depression. The latter is a chemical imbalance in the brain, and that's not something that can be worked out with a couple of deep, meaningful conversations. Those will help, but the imbalance will still be there.
I've had depression since childhood, and in May of this year, finally got on the right meds, I've never felt better. Every situation is different. Find out if something is wrong, and then seek help from a professional if needed.

First of all talk to your parents about it.If the depression is bad, I would go to a therapist. If he thinks it is necessary he will prescribe medicine for you. When I was 16 I was on depression medicine. You can exercise and eat healthy too. Thats supposed to help and make you feel better. Good luck and God bless. :)

rather. melancholy sucks. I did the full abused, depressed, bullied element. it rather is not exciting, yet you're no longer on my own. severe college ends, you could circulate out, circulate to college, do your element. component to social themes is melancholy. It makes you extra of a hermit and not as happy. rather everyone seems to be extra interested in happy people. basically get out extra, giggle extra and spot life as a pitcher a million/2 comprehensive. continuously look on the surprising factor of life. and by no skill provide up on beating melancholy. With a stable suggestions-set, you will get there, it basically takes time :) i'm right here to talk in case you like it :)

For depression??!! Your family and friends the real ones not the ones who claim to be there and ain't showing up or ain't there. Your family always on your side and at your side. They maybe on your back 24/7 but they always have your back for good and bad times , When i was in my teens my family was there for my troubles from depression to my troubles from my heartaches to my full recovery from my journey to my trip back its all about the love, trust, hope and strength when its in the times like this

3 things.... 1 - find a counsellor that does GESTALT...
http://www.google.com/search?q=gestalt+therapy&start=0&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official
2 - is a MILD!!! antidepressant. be honest with as many acquaintances as you can and/or join a support group. find someone who is ALERT and has positive energy and find out the medication and the DOSAGE they take... a great many psychiatrists or useless morons and do more harm than good and do not have a clue. physicians who prescribe these meds are also generally ignorant and only guessing so find out what the people who are getting better are doing... surf the web for chat.
Number 3 - GET BUSY and do things... get out there.

sounds like they're missing some important vitamins, minerals and exercise, and a little of them passing themselves on the back for good things they've done in their life to make themselves feel better. Find then some projects that they will easily excel in and build self confidence.
