if you mean meet in person someone you IMed then very dangerous. If you just mean IMing a stranger, it's not dangerous as long as you don't give out personal information.

Nothings ever for sure, but I would meet in a very busy place and then when u feel secure u can go to more of a non-busy place, I'm sure they are just as scared or nervous as you !!
