It should go away. This happens when i get a filling, cap, or somethinga long those lines. I have only one filling and it hurt then and I have had only one cap and it hurt when i got it on and when that tooth with the cap on it got loose and fell out.

It should go away. If it starts hurting really bad or continues for 3 or 4 more days, call the dentist!

You may want to give it a day or so. I have had the same problem before. If you needed a root canal the dentist should have seen that when opening the tooth. I
have a temporary in now that has been in there for well over a year. The cavity is into the "pulp". I will need a root canal on that tooth. It is not sensentive at this time but when the decay hits the pulp I will be in "mortal" pain. Being that your tooth is that sensitive it could very well be a nerve, well it has to be.
Was the tooth sensitive before the filling? Phone your dentist as you may need an anti-biotic, but doubt it if you had no absess.

It could be a number of things. It could be that this tooth needs a root canal, it could be that the temporary crown is too tall or not a perfect fit or it could just be that the tooth needs to settle down from having the work done. Call your dentist and see what they think.

It can mean that you need a root canal, or maybe the temporary cap has lost its seal on part of your tooth. That would expose the roots making them sensitive to hot and cold.

You need a root canal to stop the nerve from hurting. Also you could be getting an infection in it. Call your dentist for an antibiotic incase. Good luck dear.

never, but never have a tooth filled. it,s agnoasing, and will only be temporary at best. then you will have to have it extracted and pulling a previously filled tooth may very well shatter it in the process then odds are the dds will have to literaly dig it out by the roots!!i just had this expireence with one tooth monday and you don,t want it. i know! if he refuses to pull it just wait a while and he will be.

This is a question that should be answered by your dentist...It take only a minute to call and ask the question and you will get a proper answer by the person who knows your teeth best, you dentist and staff.

Now go pick up that phone and give them a call. Go now...
