Actually God does stop many evil acts. It's just that we don't see it that way. For instance the Bible says in Romans 13 that governments are God's ministers to us for good and they don't bear the sword (or 38 service revolver) in vain but to execute his wrath upon evildoers. Also there are many incidences of divine providence that people don't recognize as such or are completely unaware of. For instance there are stories like the one about a woman missionary who was walking down a road and some thieves were going to jump her but didn't. Later on after an arrest for a different crime it came out in the investigation that they didn't attack the woman because of the "two large men" who were walking with her. She was alone and it must have been angels or something like that. Then again the Bible talks about how God channels the course of leaders hearts like a river and so who knows how many times a nuclear war has been averted because a leader just decided against a certain action without knowing that it was the Lord who was the cause of that decision.

Well, if there was no evil, you would never understand how good really is. Its the realativity thing Einstein brought up. How can you know pleasure if you have never experienced pain? I am not condoning evil acts, but I think GOD gave us life on this planet so we could develope and grow...just like children. He is just a tough love kind of God I guess.

Back in the garded of Eden, Satan the Devil questioned God's right to rule. By calling God a liar who withholds good from his subjects, Satan charged that God is a bad ruler. This was an attack on God's sovereignty, his right to rule. When Adam and Eve rebelled, they were in effect saying, "we can decide for ourselves what is right and what is wrong" What God is doing is allowing Satan to show how he would rule mankind. God has also allowed humans to govern themselves under Satan's guidance. He is giving plenty of time for satan to present his case: that humans can rule independently without God's help. What has been the result? Satan is losing the challenge. Man cannot rule man without terrible consequences. God will soon step in and right all the injustices Satan has caused. Satan and all who follow him will be destroyed and only God's government will rule over the earth. (Daniel 2:44)

I've got a little boy. He's four. When he was just learning to walk we had just installed a wood stove. I would chase after him all the time because my wife and I didn't want him to touch the fire. He didn't understand what hot was. We even resorted to slaping the back of his hand when he went near to try and get him to asociate pain with going close to the fire. Nothing worked.

One night when my wife was out, the power went out and I had candles burning. My son waddled over to one and I thought "Hmmm, let's see what happens here." I let him touch it and his eyes quickly opened wide, he spun around and pointed to the wood stove and then said "HOT!!!" He never went near the wood stove again.

We, like little children need to learn things the hard way. So God our father stands back most of the time and hopes that we learn.

God will not destroy evil because by destroying evil he would destroy humanity because of our sinfulness. Instead he is choosing to use mans evil to make people to examine their lives and what they need to change about themselves to be closer to him.

God is seperate from his creation and the evil that men do. He also gave men freewill but our freewill does not interfear with his sovernty. Men can choose to do evil but that does not mean that God will not use their free choise to bring about his will. That does not mean that God is using evil to bring about good, it simply means he will use a mans acts (whether evil or good) to bring about his will.

He will stop it when this world is governed by his son Jesus...He is not pleased with evil but it will prove Satan liar and reveal what a lousy ruler Satan has been for mankind. Death and destruction are from Satan and the demons not the True God.

Yes His will, He has called people home early because they won't come in line. If your free will infringes on His plans don't plan on hanging around real long.

If God controlled us - we would be like robots. He wants all to come to Him on their free will!

We are being tested, and many will fail, and those that are failing will also test others.

But it will all come out in the wash!
