Apparently, some pills with certain drugs in them can cause hallucinations if you wait long enough and stick it out to not fall asleep. Not hugely intense hallucinations (no LSD or shroom visions), but enough to definitely cause them...Know the brand?

Ambien is likely the medication you are thinking of.

Of course, DXM, the active ingredient in drugs such as Robitussin DM, can produce drowsiness and altered visual experiences, but both of these substances taken in any quantity larger than that recommended by the manufacturer can result in extreme side effects.

er.. I think you'll find it's just the lack of sleep that causes hallucinations, not the drug.
Look it up.
I think you have to go about 3 days though, but it will be different for everyone.

Never heard of that effect w/Acetaminophen, but sometimes it does have a small amount of oxycodone---which is a derivative of opium... this could cause hallucinations.

Ambein makes me have hallucinations-i will never take it again.

Ambien, not Ambien cr but the original one it made me hallucinate.
