Please go for medical evaluation...have at least the following conditions ruled out:
1. Diabetes
2. heart condition
3. epilepsy
4. circulatory issues in the brain.

I had a very similar experience when I was younger. I would frequently get very lightheaded as things would grow dark for about 10 seconds...then I would sit down and i would be OK. These attacks started happening more frequently, however, they only occured if I was standing up. I was finally at the point where I had passed out a couple times within a month. I was hospitalized and they ran many tests including EKGs, CT scan of the brain, echocardiogram, EEG and a glucose tolerance test. When all the tests came back OK, I saw a cardiologist who sent me to have a "tilt table test" which was positive and he diagnosed me as having neuromediated cardiodepressive syncope...which, loosely translated, means loss of consciousness due to the nervous system causing the heart to slow down. It is basically an oversensitivity of the parasympathetic nervous system. It usually happens in females between the ages of about 14-21, they are usually thin (but not underweight) and athletic. It is a self limiting condition...meaning its more of a nusiance than anything else, but it can be controlled with beta blockers which prevent overstimulation of the heart. The good news is that most people out grow it. I was medicated for two years, then off a year, then on for two years and I have now been symptom free for 2 years...I am about 30 years old now.

See your physician and best of luck!

You might be anemic. Please see a doc for a blood test to determine the cause of your blackouts. If you are using a lot of energy for cheerleading, then you need to eat regularly. Make sure to include in your diet foods rich in iron eg green leafy vegetables. Hope you are not trying to rapidly lose weight for the cheerleading stuff! You will endanger your health.

It could be because you are not eating enough for all that energy your using up.
If your extremely active and not taking the time to eat right then you could be dizzy when first standing, getting blurry eyed etc.
Your body is trying to tell you something. And it's not good.

If your not eating........eat
If your not sleeping......sleep
If your doing some kind of drug.......stop

Women's bodies are known for telling them when something is just not right and you need to pay attention to it otherwise you could do irreversible damage to your body.

You need to see a doctor.....that's dangerous. That would have nothing to do with wasting energy. That's a medical issue and you need to get ot a doctor. Are you eating? Because lack of food can also make you black out.

At first, I thought you were talking about drinking too much. Have you had your blood sugar checked? I had this a few years ago and later found out I was diabetic. Better get it checked before something bad happens.

Perhaps you need an MRI.
