Is it ok to take cough drops when you dont need it? I like to chew or suck on something and I cant have gum... And please dont be innapproiate about my statement on "suck".. Thanks

As long as its sugar-free...should be ok! I used to be addicted to those Luden's chewy cherry flavored cough drops....yummmm!

Most cough drops that you buy at the store are just candy with some cooling ingredients added. If you can eat the sugar and you don't mind the tooth decay, go for it. The menthol and other ingredients can give you an upset stomach if you eat too much.
Sugar free drops can give you diarhrea because they often have sorbitol or manitol or other sugar alcohols that end in "...tol". The Splenda based candy mints might suit your needs. They are expensive, though.

Why don't you try sucking on breath mints or something other than cough drops. It is really not a good idea to do that try candy or breath mints tic tacs or anything other than cough drops.

Sure it's okay. Check the package to see if it states the maximum you should have in one day and then you know for sure you are safe.

Its probably fine.
Just make sure to try something sugar free and that has no type of medicine in it.
Some people just need to do that and its a heck of alot better than smoking!
