Ha ha! That's funny! I always thought those things were stupid....yeah, people put them on their gas guzzling SUV's in the name of patriotism so that they don't have to actually do something like drive a more fuel efficient car, etc.

My daughter was born in China, to Chinese parents. She is now an American. I don't feel her origin matters in the fact that she is AMERICAN now. Once a Chinese made sticker, ribbon, magnet is presented to show American spirit or support, origin matters not. It's the sentiment.

I don't understand why those ribbons seem to bother some people.
Some display of support, no matter how small, is better than doing nothing at all in my mind.

Most people don't care where they are made.
What they care about is the portion of the purchase price that gets donated.
To honestly answer your question: No, my patriotism comes from my beliefs.

Yeah, about as patriotic as a plastic made-in-Taiwan flag flying from the antenna of a Mexican-made Chevy HHR.
America's a sellout for cheap labor.

Yes, by reminding me that they are still out there every time I come home to my comfortable bed! And by reminding me to write a letter to them or donate money to groups sending care packages to them! What of it?
Oh, and by the way, I support our troops, AND our GOV no matter how arrogant they are :)
I also served my country, did you? :)

Yep, right on my Japanese pick-em-up truck being filled with sweet Saudi crude, processed by Royal Dutch Shell. You can pry my Austrian H&K from my cold dead hands if you beg to differ.

I don't have one right now, but what difference does it make, where it's made that.
