War on terror and war in Iraq are two different wars....
I'm not against the war on terror ( these islamist fundamentalists that want the end of America) but the war in Iraq, I don't see what's that about. Iraq wasn't part of 9/11, and it's not the only regime that was a threat to the US ( we have Iran, North Korea, Venezuala...) Iraq is a waste of our resources and military forces.
By the way, there's nothing wrong with constructive criticism...it doesn't mean we love our country less or are supporting terrorism. We can't improve if we don't see what's wrong and try to fix it.

Someone once called out to HS Truman "Give them hell, Harry" He replied that he just spoke the truth and his opponents just thought it was hell. No one bashes the shrub. They don't have to. Simply repeat a passage from any of his speeches and it just reminds people how stupid this man is.Sometimes the Oval Office molds it's occupant into a leader and a statesman. Truman is a good example. The shrub is an example of a president whose occupancy of that office has simply revealed his complete unfitness for the job. The concept of a war on terrorism is so idiotic that boggles the mind.Better to declare war on the weather, or the sea. Anti terrorist action is mostly police work and espionage and then military strikes. The method employed by the shrub is exactly wrong and he has topped it off by attacking Iraq. Two major mistakes he has made is attacking a terrorist country(Afghanistan was and is a terrorist base and a legitimate target),cutting and running to attack the wrong country and succeeding in conquering neither. A waste of time, men, resources and all sorts of good will and face. The shrub is wrong but no one has to bash him. He humiliates himself well enough. What is a shame is the fact that his actions humiliates and debases your country.

The only thing that torques me is that the Bush haters only seem to know how to curse and call him names. There is very rarely any intelligent points made outside of Air America rhetoric. It's like their hatred of Bush is so overpowering they can't discuss anything rationally. I've tried having conversations with liberals and they always end up screaming, literally, their hatred of Bush. It amazes me. What happens in 2008 when Bush is gone and replaced by another Republican? And don't give me that old the Democrats are going to win, who do they have representing their party? Hillary? Howard Dean? I really don't think a majority of Americans, from any party would support either of those two so the Republican would win by default. I digress, like I said, I am amazed at the hatred and vitriol spewed forth by them, I just don't get it.

1st off,We didn't launch the war,we were attacked several times and we finally have someone in office who understands, who really understands the thoughts of the islamic terrorist.

I get angry, pissed off mainly because the person who is doing the bashing hasn't got a clue about whats happening or they don't have a clue on what their own freedom cost a soldier! Or maybe they just don't care(right now).

They have a right to their opinions, I have a right to mine. I'm Canadian, Former Military. Closest to being in combat; 1962, Cuban Missile Crisis. My ship, HMCS Kootenay went to full Action Stations while carrying out our part of the blockade. What did we feel? It was our job. Would I do it again? Absolutely. If I was in the Navy at this time I would volunteer for service in The Gulf. Why? It needs to be done. Why does it need to be done? The way I see it, the terrorists will never stop, until they are eradicated, or, until they control the world. For me, Death would be preferable to the latter. By the way, Canadians may not be fighting in Iraq, but our Troops are fighting and being killed or wounded in Afghanistan. My wife and I respect and fully support them, and all Coallition Forces. Ray.

I think that they are ignorant. There is no way of knowing what is really going on unless you are at the top of the chain. The media just likes to sale stories so the bash the people in charge. Giving up the war on terror is like giving up the fight against Cancer or HIV.

Are you not aware that Bush has stated repeatedly that the war in Iraq has nothing to do with 9/11 and bin Laden? This war was premised on the lie that Saddam was a threat, not that he was a terrorist or had terrorist ties. Get your facts straight.

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing that is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself." -- John Stuart Mill

I feel sad that people actually think that the everyday average person in Iraq was going to come here and start war like we have there. You cannot fight a war against terrorists, they are in every corner, in every hidden place and they will continue to breed hate for generations LONG after you and I. Its like telling me that taking a bat to a bees nest will for sure kill the Queen bee....your not doing anything but pissing them off.

Having said that, when it started it did makes sense. All that however was based on things that were never true. So I dont blame anyone for starting, I am sad they continue.

Our leaders are NOT the ones who launched the war on terror. They are the one's that responded.
