Why doesn't she like him? She shouldn't be mad at you, you are your own person with your own likes and dislikes, she shouldn't be mad because of that, after all, you would be the one dating him not her. The only reason it would be okay for her to be mad is if he's a total bad influence or a bad guy, in this case, listen to her!
Otherwise, just tell her that you really like him and that you would appreciate it if you're best friend was supportive of you, as you would be for her, right?

Well, she doesn't like him for 1 of 2 reasons.
1. He's truly not good for you and she's worried he'll hurt you.
2. She's jealous of you b/c he's taking up all your time or she might have a crush on him herself.
You need to find out why she truly doesn't like him. If it's the 1st part, maybe you should trust her judgment b/c she really cares about you.
If it's the 2nd part, then you need to reevaluate your friendship with HER.

Only one thing to do. Talk. Be honest. Tell her you care about her. Don't apologize for your romance, but let her know you understand. Tell her you never want to lose her friendship. Ask her to help you think of ways to keep things cool. What would work for her in this situation? If you ask that, you will catch her off guard and make her see how serious you are about her. Remember, girlfriends should be forever.

Maybe she wants the best for you and this guy is not the best choice. ..or Maybe she likes him too much and is trying to hide her feelings by acting like she doesn't like him...because your friendship means a lot to her.
Maybe it would help if you included her on some event...like a double date....so that she feels that she can still be a major part of your life ...even with him in it. Communicate clearly with her.

well either way you loose someone important to you so you just need to decide if you'd rather loose your best friend that will always be there for you and always has and the one you get along with and can't live without or whould you rather loose a guy that may not even last long and may not always be there for you

Ask her what she does not like about this guy that you like. Is her opinion biased or does she see something about the guy that you are too blind to see? Be honest with yourself why you like this guy and really question yourself what is so good about this guy. It is good to go through this questioning process early.

You don't need to do anything as you are doing no wrong.
Consider the words of Dr Samuel Sagan when he said:
When you change, friends have to change or you have to change friends.

she should be more understanding.. b/c if you end up dating him its you that have to deal with him not her. I dont know why she's acting that way maybe she's jealous. just keep in mind, if she's a true friend she would take that into consideration and know that you like him and she needs to deal with it
