I'm confused with this issue as well. I feel that it should by the girl, the boy whom she had sex with if it wasn't rape or something like that. Then, tell both set of parents and maybe families. I don't know what to do if none of above options work out besides put it up for adoption or have an abolotion, but please don't abort it unless if you got rape or something like that.

Think thats it for now.

its her body
the child will be her responsibility
she may have been raped
she may be on the pill and using condoms
she may have been using drugs heavily the first mo of pregnancy
she may have found out father was using drugs during fertilization
there may be risks associated with the pregnancy that was not for seen

i had to add this, in my opinion, if you have an abortion bcause you are not financially stable, then you are committing murder unless there was a fluke with the birth control, just because you are irresponsible with your life to end up pregnant is no reason to chill a child, unborn or born, a fetus is the begining of life - death is the end- how ever it happens, if its not that big of a deal to kill a child because the mother cant afford to raise him/her how can she afford the money for the abortion but couldnt afford the money for a box of condoms, a lot of clinics will give these away free, and if life isnt that important, why not just kill the mother and let the child collect social security? i mean apparently that person doesnt think life is that important right?

there are many health reasons that an option of abortion should be available. Such as those that put the life of the mother in danger. And of coarse where there's a will there's a way, if a women does not want the pregnancy then she will find someway to abort it legal or not, she should have the option of doing so safely. I personally do not believe in having an abortion unless it was medically necesary or in a case of insect or rape, but i believe that all women should have the right to choose, there the ones who have to live with their decisions, nobody else..

whether I agree or disagree it is a choice a woman should be able to make, whether she is raped, too young, unable to support a child or unwilling. If we take away this right women will be put in danger like they were in the past searching for ways to get an abortion, or try to do it themselves and become infertile and/or die if the medical access is not available legally a desperate woman will seek it illegally. Even with the availability of adoption and the many, many families looking to adopt, this is sometimes not an option for some women, due to many reasons.

I agree with the first answer before legal abortion women died trying to prevent unwanted children. HBO had series ("If these walls could talk")about this years ago.

In addition it also gives parent an opportunity to assess if the can really support a child. It is not just enough to have a child you have to be able to provide and care for them and sometimes people just are not mentally, financially or emotionally capable of doing this. Although their are alternatives often they just turn out hurting the children in the long run.

I try to keep an open mind. While I would never have an abortion, I couldn't judge someone else who has had one. I would try to change their mind if i knew about it before hand, but, never judge. The reason is because I have never met anyone who had an abortion and not hate themselves later on. Besides, if someone was forced to have a child and raise it who didn't want it, how is that child going to end up in society? I mean, yes, I do think its murder, but, will that child be a serial killer in 20 years?

The woman's right to bodlily autonomy trumps that of a potential persons right to life.

Unwanted pregnancy is like rape from the inside out.

We live in American and our feedom to choose should never be taken for granted. Pro Choice doen't mean abortion. It means having a choice and making the decisions that our right for you as an individual. I would never have an aborition, but I would never tell another woman what was right for her.

professional life i think of if somebody is raped (incestuously or no longer) they should have the flexibility to stroll right into a police station, fill out a document, and settle for the morning after pill - no questions asked. additionally, if the mother's life is in threat it rather is going to likely be her decision. aside from those circumstances - sorry, you had intercourse and you knew the threat. I thoroughly believe the thought "the government.shouldn't tell somebody what to do with their physique", in spite of the fact that, it rather is not YOUR physique your finding out directly to injury. as a result, as quickly as you provide beginning and it rather is now entirely YOUR physique, circulate forward and do in spite of you like.

I'd have to agree with the first response. If a female is determined to not continue a pregnancy, she could certainly go somewhere that could cause her permenant damage. People that perform these services will not go away, they will just be done illegally.
