That's not been my experience. I've met thoughtful Christians and thoughtless Christians as well as thoughtful non-theists and thoughtless non-theists. Neither has a greater inclination to empathize. We're all humans.

Children? I would say no since Christians are in the vanguard of safegaurding the family. Now Animals on the other hand you may say yes. Since scripture expressly teaches that mankind is the "theotokis" (Image bearer of god) and were given dominion over the animals. Whereas the secularist thinks we are all animals.

The only possible reason is that in the Bible one of the frequent hobbies of the ancient peoples was to sacrifice animals for God.

Though some people are just less drawn to children and animals, I would like to think that REAL Christians would have a kinder heart because Jesus is love.

oh my word why would you ask such a thing?
Of course not Jesus said suffer the children unto me...meaning that He is the protector of all children and it is our duty to be Christ like which means we should protect all children.
I do believe that Jewish people and Muslims too feel children are our most precious resource.'
So why ask only about Christians?

Yes, because we do not relay on God to watch over our children or to take care of them, we do it our selves.

No, Why would they? I dont think having empathy for an amimal or child has anything to do with what religion you are.
