I can be a procrastinator and I know this. So when I went to college I would go to the library right after class and tell myself I couldn't leave until I studied at least one hour. After that I could do what I want.

Just set limits and stick to them relgiously. Think of it as part of your class: the 1 hr study time. You will feel so proud when you accomplish it. Force yourself!

It also helps if you have study buddies because it's harder to let them down and you feel like you have to prove yourself more. Good luck!

Not sure. I haven't gotten around to it yet. (j/k)

You have to get over the hump in your head that's telling you to procrastinate. It probably will feel very unnatural.

I'm not saying procrastinating is a bad thing. It made me feel better knowing I could let off my work til the last minute.

The thing is, you're giving your schoolwork the very last bit of your attention, which is kind of messed up, seeing as you're in school. You're not crazy, though. When I took on school for the first time, I thought it was just going to flow through me like fresh air. I didn't realize you had to actually do things you didn't want to do.

When you get home form school or whatever.Set goals. Tell your self what you will be done with at what time, or what you will accomplish that day. If you did everything, (or you personally thought that you were up to par) award yourself somehow. Heck, this has always worked for me. Annd if it worked for me, it will certaintly work for you. Oh, and one other thing. I would try to stay off this site after school. IT IS SO ADDICTING!

I like to think of it as practicing my avoidance technique....I do it a lot. I especially avoid homework - if I ever have it - I'm reallllllly old now. I'd say it's mostly because it's boring or you don't know where to start.
