Listen, the best thing to do is not use the paper tiger. Use vinegar and hot water diluted in a spray bottle, and scrape off. Or, use a steamer to make it come off in larger chunks. It is painful and tedious, i know, but these are the best two ways. takes a long time, to get it off effectively

Go to Lowes or Home Depot and get a wall paper remover spray. I have removed several rooms of wallpaper and had great success with a spray I got at one of these places. I do not remember the brand, but it came in a clear spray bottle and it looked like a light blue gel inside. They tell you to score the surface of the paper first with one of those little things you roll over the wall in circles, but I found that this spray worked just as well without it. It actually was easier to not use it, not poking those little holes allowed me to more easily pull off large sections rather than small pieces. After you get most of it off you can use the spray and a damp sponge to get off any residue left behind.
Good Luck

you want to get rid of all the paste and under no circumstances use spackle yet drywall compound and browse the entire effected elements. There are wallpaper paste removers and sponges with scrub backs that are offered at any abode Depot, and so on. it really is a really tedious interest and could require a lot time and scrubbing. you'll prefer to regulate the bucket of water occassionaly. in case you do not have the skill to skim the wallboard with joint compound then seek for a community accessible guy to do it for you. this is going to favor very minimum sanding even if it really is skimmed wisely. yet another possibility is to purchase a million/4" sheetrock and word it over the present drywall. This takes extra skill and may want to also favor the amenities of someone it fairly knows a thanks to do it. I in basic terms had an same difficulty on a kitchen redecorate i'm doing and it took considered one of my workers about 3 days (24 guy hrs) to get all the glue off a wall that develop right into a touch over one hundred sq. ft. The skimming of the compound is a really quick interest so a the interior reach handyman shouldn't ought to price you too a lot. you probable can do the end sanding your self.

"Don't panic !" This is what I did........... You know the thin cream color paper that was left behind. Get The largest sponge that you can find. Wet that paper down where it dripping. (Mind you it's a big mess ! ) Then get a scraper a litely lift the paper up. Once you get a corner just pull it up with your hands. It takes practices but I guarantee it to you it works ! Good-Luck !

Steam and a scraper - that is the backing that is stuck and it needs to come off to. If that doesn't work you will need to score it with a scoring tool and spray with remover then steam and scrape.
