He's "kneading" you -- like making bread or biscuits. It's a comfort thing, reminding them of when they're younger and nursing.

it is a natural thing for kitties to knead. They do it to mommy and they think of you as a very close replacement. It is the same thing they do as kitten when nursing. Basically the cat loves ya to pieces

He is kneading, meaning you are his "mommy".
Kittens usually do that when they feed at their mother's nipple. Cats usually continue do kneed all their lives, they usually knead on blankets or something soft, but some cats do it to their human.
This is very touching because it means you have sucessfully bonded with Kitty!

If you notice when kittens are feeding they knead the mother's tit. They do this to help force out the milk. Once they are weened it becomes a habit of comfort. Like a trained reaction of sorts.

He is "kneading" - and it comforts him. That's the motion kittens make on their mom when they are feeding, and they are comforted and purr, usually. I take it as a compliment, when my kitty kneads on my body - and he tends to do it on clothes or a blanket left on the floor, or on pillows or beds.

Your kitty is kneading or 'paddy-pawing'. It's comforting for the cat and it's also a sign of affection for 'their' humans.
My furkid, Tika will sit by me and start paddy-pawing on my thigh when I sit on the couch!

It means he's comfortable. He might do it to the floor, another pet, a person etc. When a cat "kneads in place", he's basically saying "Hey, it's all good and I feel great!" :)

It's called kneeding. It is a comforting behavior for cats. Normally done to the mother to induce suckling. I know nasty, but it is cat body language for I want to be close to you.
