Well, if you are Jewish or Christian, you believe that God made us in his own image. God Himself is a Creator - so when He made us, he made us creators as well. That's why we want to know how things work: so we can build things too.

He also gave us knowledge and free will, and if you have free will, you'll want to know about the world around you because you have to make decisions.

In addition, being curious helps us survive - and in fact, if you look at most of the Old Testament rules, many of them helped protect the Jewish people by forbidding them to do things that might be harmful to them (like eating pork).

He dident. We are naturally curious. Not because anybody made us that way though. The only one I can give credit of making us the way we are is our parents. If you want to really find out why we are the way we are than go past the Adem and Eve story. Ask your self where did we really come from.

So we can delight in the wonders and praise Him.
So we can learn to expand our worlds w/ science, literature, technology, and so forth and praise Him.
