Hair can get used to the chemical compounds in shampoos just like we can get used to other medications.

When you change your shampoos, even if you change it once in a week and return using your other shampoos, it can stop the hair from building up an immunity to it.

I change often. If I don't my long hair gets limp and lifeless. To keep it full and shiny I have to keep switching brands about half way through the bottles. I keep them and eventually go back to that bottle.

For the same reason you need variety in your diet. Not only does it help you discover your fave, it also gives many different nutrients for your hair. If you get stuck in a rut with one shampoo, your hair won't get all the help it needs!!!
