I have a crush on someone....I feel like I am 14 or something, (i'm 21) and I don't know how to go about it. I was in a long term relationship that ended about 2 months ago. I really think this guy is attractive and nice, and I know he's single. (myspace) But, I don't know him, he just works at this video store I go to all the time. I don't even know how to go about starting a convo with him, that seems akward! And, I am too shy-ish to just ask him straight out! Does anyone have any unique ideas? Thanks!

If he works at a video store chances are good he's interested in movies. Pick a movie and ask him if he's seen it, ask his opinion of the film. Movie geeks love to talk about their favorite films ... or any films for that matter.
Then just stand back and let him pontificate. After awhile you will get a word in and before you know it, you'll be talking.
After that, you're on your own.

well im actually 14, i can give you some advice from my point of view atleast...lol. well, it seems that you've got a crush-that's great-but you've got to learn more about him. Go to the video store and ask about a certain movie. The next day go back and return it, and strike up a convo. Just say, "so what's your name?" or something stupid, introduce yourself, what can it hurt. you're not having my dilemma, which is the fact that im in school, so if a popular guy thinks im weird I have a terrible high school experience. what do you have to lose? the guy at the video store liking you? I have a few unique ideas: When you've gotten to know him a little better, go up to him and say, "you wanna know a secret? ive never even watched those videos." he'll get the hint. if he doesn't ask you out, just say, "when do you get off"? and ask if he likes coffee, offer to treat him-im sure his job isn't a picnic. well i hope that helps! good luck! I know how you feel. When I was 19 I met this awesome guy and had no idea how to approach him in fear that I was being too juvenile. Well I am now 21(almost 22) and I am still with that guy. He turned out to be my soul mate. Just talk to him! Since he works at a video store you could even start a convo about what vid's he likes;. Let say he really likes horror movies and you don't(or pretend you don't) say something like, "Oh I get too scared. I need someone to watch them with me" say it flitatiously so he'll get the hint though.

Welcome to what guys have to go through all the time! Then multiply it by however many people like you that may be thinking the same thing about this person. There is no easy way to take the first step, especially for a woman breaking the ice without looking desperate. The hard answer is, you may have to get used to the idea that there is nothing you can do, and chalk it up as fate that you are not meant to meet.

Go to the video store he works at. Tell him you want to rent a good _______ (comedy, romance, scary etc.) movie but you don't know what to get. Ask him if he has any suggestions, or to help you find one. After you rent it, you have two options, depending on how shy you are. 1. Ask him when he gets off, and ask if he wants to watch it with you. To forward? 2. Make sure he's there when you return it. Tell him what you thought and ask if he'd like to go see a movie at the theater sometime since he had such good taste. I've never done this before, but now I might try it! With a girl of course. Let me know what happens if you try it.

Girl what are you waiting on start renting movies! You will have to talk to him at some point. Make sure that you dress really cute...don't over dress every time you go rent a movie. Strike up some small talk about a movie and take it from there.

Just contact him on Myspace, say that you saw a face you recognized and wanted to add him to your friends.. You'll figure out if he has noticed you and is interested in you..

first of all make sure he safe, because myspace can be dangerous. second of all start a conversation with him, ask about his life, introduce yourself, and all that just don't rush it. later when you two are comfortable with each other then you should tell him your feelings.

The obvious is to to start a conversation about a video! Ask him if he has ever seen.............. or if he can recommend a good whatever movie..that will get you started, and then you can take it from there, or hopefully, he will!

Stalk him, I bet he'll like that and ask you out. Works everytime.......If he calls the cops and gets a restraining order, don't be put off by that, he's just playing hard to get. Good luck!
