I think that The U.S. and the rest of the world is screwed. I feel that we are handing The world to china on a silver platter. When you pick someting up and read where it comes from Most of the time it says "Made In China" With all there people and all the products they make they could stop producing and have the next Hitler and try to dominate the world. Most will read this and think yea right the U.S. would kick there ***, but if you think about it they have billions of people and many communist allys.

So where do you think china is headed.
Thanks
Jake

A few years down the road, China will be "the" world power. They have a huge work force that is motivated and industrious. They have a large land mass with natural resources and access to their neighbors resources. They are an industrial economy while we outsource and become a service economy. They have the largest military in the world. They will most likely have exclusive right to Iran's oil, which is the second largest reserve in the world. They are fighting no foreign wars which could drain their economy. And most scary of all is that Bush sold them all our national debt, they own us!

China is going to be serious competition for the USA economically but they are a generation from being even a regional challenge to the USA militarily. They are working on building a navy to do just that. However they fact that have such a huge population, while it's their biggest asset is also their biggest problem. building a modern infrastructure for that many people is a massive undertaking. they have a HUGE polution problem. Particulate pollution from coal power plants is 40% higher in Hong kong, their most western city than it is in Los Angelas, the most air polluted city in the US. China is not particularly expansionist however so while they may be an economic competitor I don't think we have to worry about a war with them unless we want one. They may want Taiwan back but other than that (and Tibet of course) Chinese borders haven't changed much in a long time. China looks inward, not outward, historically.

China has much smaller GDP per cap than US. It's far too early to say China is going to overtake US. China cannot keep up 9% economics growth all the time. It will slow down a bit and has to address all the potential problems before becoming stronger and healthier.

Don't worry.. there are several.. plans i guess is how i'll put it, that the United States and the United Kingdoms have to deal with such a problem (from any nation). I believe that China would fail in any war, even with its large army. It has the size, but it would have serious trouble using such a large army.

*If you'd like some information on some of the plans just send me a message.

China is going where ever it wants. It is muscling both Japan and Taiwan, sitting back on N.Korea because if it explodes they will pick up the pieces. The USA owes trillions of dollars to China in trade debt. What ever they want to do they will.
