Yes! You should be able to open up to your significant other, not be shy around him. you probably don't like him as much as you may think.

depends on if you have been intimate with him or not. You may be shy and nervous because you aren't sure if you will perform well or not. that is normal and will pass after sometime. you are probably young and are nervous about kissing, making out, and sex scares the crud out of you.
If not then you just need to tell him that you feel nervous and shy and not sure why you feel that way. communicate with him and you will be much happier and comfortable around him. it will also make him more 'in love' with you.

well I guess being shy around him just kinda comfirms you dont really know him well.... New romances are often this way for a short time.. but the more time you spend together the less shy you will be! ... But most importantly be yourself... and I am sure you will feel less shy and more open with him in time! GOOD LUCK!

If that's who you are, then he probably likes it about you.
But it depends how you act shy and nervous.
He might get bored, like if you never talk to him.
If you're PHYSICALLY shy, he might figure you're not into certain things, OR he might like the challenge of finding out for himself.

Are you "acting" or is it real? If it's real shyness, ask yourself why it happens. Only you know the true answer. Are you afraid of something with him? Is he pressuring you? Ask yourself those questions and answer them honestly. Then get back to me.

yes, it means you jumped into the relationship before getting a chance to get to know each other better and be comfortable w/ each other. try just dating him first, it's less pressure
