i was in the store the other day and a guy asked me what kind of orange juice was best so i told him florida orange juice was the best and then after i told him he got another brand i felt like tackling him after that shoud i have done that

It's very simple.
Instead of holding in your anger or kicking him in the face for being a jackas*, you should've just said "Hey that's not Florida OJ, it won't taste as good."
If he don't care, then you can follow up with "Then why the heck did you even ask me which OJ is the best?"
If he changes his mind or answers nicely, that would have been the end of it and you wouldn't be online all pissed of ranting on Yahoo Answers.
If he acts like a jerk, that's when you knock him out...and again you'll be feeling better and wouldn't be here reading this!

the BEST orange juice is Florida's Natural. it tastes the best and they come in glass containers too. some people are jerks, nobody is worth going to jail over that

No. You should get over yourself. He was asking you for a brand, and you gave him a region. It's like if I asked you what wine you recommended and you said "California" rather than a label like "Kalyra." And even if you had said "Tropicana," He's under no obligation to take your suggestion, and you are pretty ridiculous if you want to hurt him for choosing to spend his own money on Minute Maid. He's drinking it and he's paying for it. Not you.
