go to petfinders.com....this is a site for rescue groups....just enter your Zip code, and be AMAZED at how many great choices you have !!....I adopted a Great Pyrenees mix from them, and my dog Sylvester is awesome !!....check it out....try it....do a good deed....adopt a Golden Retriever dog today !!!....good luck to you, in your search for a Golden Retriever !!!!....most adoptions run from $ 50 to $ 200 max, for a dog that is completely up to date on shots, heartworm negative, and spayed or neutered, and ready to go home with you today !!!!

Check out http://www.grca.org/puppyreferrals.asp . It is the Golden Retriever Club of America's breeder referral page. You can search by state for reputable breeders in your area and compare prices. Prices range based on location, availability and (as the poster above mentions) quality of the dog. If you decide you would rather adopt a Golden there is a link to local rescue groups at http://www.grca-nrc.org/Localrescues.htm

I bought my golden for $800 it sounds stupid but Golden's can have a lot of health problems if you buy from a good breeder the price would be around $500 to $1000 for a really healthy dog, and good temperament...

All depends on just what you are looking for in a golden. You can find nice pets for one-two hundred. You can find Goldens with a good chance of excelling at field trials anywhere from several hundred to several thousand.

Don't get your dog from a breeder unless your dog is going to be a show dog. Buy dogs at homeless shelters!
