it is false
all global warming is the earth in a natural cycle of warm/ cold, wet/dry
all these scientists are going to look like fools in a few yrs when the globe returns to cool down oh no wait that will be an ice age cause by green house gases but a new name

Scientific fact: carbon dioxide (CO2) and methane (CH4) in the atmosphere reflect or trap heat in our atmosphere. There has always been CO2 and CH4 in the atmosphere, but the amount has changed, as everything does. The amount goes up and down, just like oxygen and other gases.
Scientific fact: The burning of fossil fuels and other human actions give off CO2 and CH4.
Scientific fact: Relative to the period 1860–1900, global temperatures have increased by 0.75 °C. Also, 2005 was the warmest recorded year since reliable instrumentation was widely used (about 200 years ago).
So if we are releasing CO2 and CH4 into the atmosphere, then we are obviously changing something. Most scientists say we are releasing enough to have a measurable change on the amount of heat that is trapped. The debate it over how much we are changing it. Some would say that we are not really doing much to change the temperature, and that it is increasing as it would naturally. Others would say that the increase is unnatural or is increasing faster then it should, because of human influence.
Anyone who says that the global temperature is not increasing is wrong. Anyone who says that humans have not released CO2 and CH4 into the atmosphere is wrong. Anyone who says that CO2 and CH4 doesn't affect global temperature is wrong.
PS: I try to stay away from extremists who have quasi-facts, and one sided arguments like Ann Coulter.

It can be. As can Chemistry the theory of relativity or the science of Psychology. There has been no reputable study of the problem that has shown anything other than it is real and that humans are the cause but we don't know the exact formulae and we can't predict it or even prove it's cause scientifically. Nor can we prove that E actually equals MC squared or that our mature mind is motivated by unrealized juvenile ambitions or that any theorum that forms the foundation of Chemistry actually works. There's only two ways to prove that Global Warming is real. You could reduce the amount of Greenhouse Gas emissions in the world and see if the effect slows proportionally or you could increase Greenhouse gasses and see if it kills the human race. At some point you have to acknowledge that if you don't have a competing theory that holds more water than what leading scientists in Oceanography are telling you that you should shut up and pitch in.

Could be. But the scientific community thinks it's real.
That includes the National Academy of Science, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Meteorological Society, the American Geophysical Union and other well established scientific groups.
Someone looked at all 978 papers published in scientific journals with the words "climate change" published between 1993-2003. The number of papers that said global warming was false? 0. Zero.
So a few fringe scientists say it's false. Maybe they get money from anti global warming people, maybe they're trying to make a name for themselves by taking a contrary position. They haven't been able to convince their peers. A few people think Einstein was wrong, too. Or that they have built a pwrpetual motion machine. I'm going with Einstein and I'm going with the overwhelming consensus of the scientific community. Global warming is true, and it threatens coastal areas and agriculture.

There is always a possibility that Global Warming is "false", or a pattern in the data indicating something that is fundamentally explainable by some other mechanism, but exactly the same is true of many other things. It's a matter of how much risk you are willing to tolerate to be "right". There is still a possibility that tobacco did not cause the deaths of all the smokers who died from lung cancer. Heroin may not be the root cause of heroin addiction. Driving without a seat-belt may not put you at greater risk for death in a collision, ultimately. But if you prefer breathing over being "right", the data indicate it would be prudent for us to start backing off on the CO2-producing activities we currently engage in.
I have read Ms.Coulter's book, and it is about as reliable source of facts as the Bible. LOL

Anything can be false, or true, including global warming. Personally, I doubt the global temperature has changed much, yet. But I have no doubt that CO2 levels are way up and there is every reason to assume it will cause measurable warming at some point.

The ban of certain aerosol cans has nothing to do with global warming, but with the hole in the ozone layer.
Even if global warming, by some miss-calculation, should be false, why not save some oil for future generations?

Because there is just way too much CO2 in the air and other pollutants to disagree with the fact that it is real and life threatening. Just look up in the sky in a busy city and what do you see? Smog thick and heavy ugly smog which creates a blanket that holds in the Earth's at night causing higher temperatures and Higher temperatures at night also increase the risk of mesquitos which may have west nile virus.

I love Ann Coulter and her shameless way she makes liberals squirm. Scientists can't predict the temperature three weeks from now let alone 3 decades. When we were in a cooling trend the scare mongers were preaching global cooling and we're all going to die. I don't know why some people choose to live their life like that. If it was based on good science, that would be one thing. When it is based on paranoia and lies, it is just downright annoying.

Global Warming has nothing to do with Styrofoam cups, spray paint, and oil spills. If it does exist, it is about pollution coming from China and other 3rd world countries. So the tree huggers here in the USA or in the UK are just wasting time, because our laws are already very strict.
