The dreaded Hep! 6 million per ml is not too bad....it's actually low compared to those who have 200 million per ml.
Get ready for antiviral chemo. (Interferon and Ribavirin).
Begin an antidpressant and make sure your regular doc also puts you on an anti-anxiety pill.
Please do not try and "treat yourself" with herbs, flushes, megavitimins ect as HCV is much smarter than all the money you will waste if you go that route.
Those that claim "cured" on those types of baloney dont understand that just because their enzymes are back in the normal range, however, the virus is still alive and still causing damage. These kinds of folks just change their ways out of hysteria and live with the virus.
Antiviral chemo is not that bad. Read up all you can on the subject and don't let others put the fear in how horrible the treatment is. Many did not do what the doctor told them to do.
You will drink as close to a gallon of water a day to lesson the sides and usually one will feel bad anywhere from 6 hours after your shot up until 48 hours after. (flu like symptoms)
If your drinking water, it dramatically improves the sides (IF you have any!)
I was what the doc considered a "lucky one". I felt better on treatment. BUT- I had mild to severe side effects due to the HCV for many years prior to treatment!
You need to also join a good support group either online or in person (call your local hospital for support groups). A good online one is Hepatitis C-Objectives Yahoo Groups. It was started with the idea that whatever worked for each individual (herbs or other means or conventional hcv medications) We have since come to the conclusion that the only herb out there good for us is Milk Thistle. The rest does nothing. Milk Thistle does not cure you, but it can help your liver by it's anti-inflamatory properties lessening the load on the liver (makes it easier to filter toxins out of the body).
anyway. if i've confused you I'm sorry....i know how it goes.
I did antiviral chemo for genotype 2b for 48 weeks, now the standard for that genotype as well as others is 6 months.
If your genotype 1a or 1b, you might have to see what thevirus does the first 6 months. if your viral levels drop and keep dropping by 6 months and your 1a or 1b, you will continue as long as there is improvement in viral load drop.
dont fret too much on the treatment just yet. you at least need to give it a go. the more positive you can be and the more you want to "get mad and get even" with the hcv, the higher the chance of a good outcome.
prayers your way....its not that bad! really!

the guideline of thumb interior the scientific international is...micro organism ailment' are curable. Virus' are the present that keeps on giving and unfortunatly Hep C is an epidemic. there is not any treatment and you have it for the the remainder of your life. universal prepared on virus', there are issues you're able to do and take to maintain the virus from breaking out and a minimum of making it much less severe. in case you sense solid and you're doing the blood tests each and every 6 months, save on doing what you're doing. while you're paranoid circulate each and every 3 months. in case you have 100p.c.scientific, get the remedies, in case you should pay a splash something whenever you circulate in, ignore approximately it, your dropping money. exceedingly with the gas costs those days.
