My guy friend sent me an email this morning and told me we should hang out more, he's not a real close friend but today he walked me to my 2nd period and told was just chatting and complimenting me.... he has never done this before. Is he just being friendly? Or more? and if so, how do i go about telling him i like him back if i am wrong without making things awkward?

Well, most of the time, guys will start to be nice and complimantary to a girl when they like them. Look at what he does, does he want to play around? Do you see him more than usual?
If you want, try to play around with him (tickling, etc) and see if he reacts back, because if he does, then there is something there and you should give him hints to make a move.

sounds like he wants more let things happen your body language will tell him all he needs to know if you are receptive and inviting he will see it and progress at a rate that makes sense but the minute you start to with draw so will he I wouldn't bring it up unless he asks if you rush him before he is ready to tell you how he feels it may scare him off

He wants you but is awkward in communicating it to you. Be friendly and see if he wants to take it further. I bet he does but needs help
